We Don't Know What We'd Do Without You A Capital Campaign to Address the Growing Needs of Hancock County Citizens
Since that time, thousands of citizens have used our transportation services to go to medical appointments, shop for groceries, get to work, visit loved ones, and more. In 2010 alone, Hancock Area Rural Transit provided over 20,000 one way transportation trips to citizens living in all nine Hancock County townships. As a result of this successful program, our fleet of vehicles and large transportation staff has outgrown our current facility at 312 E. Main Street, Greenfield. We have identified a property that will be spacious enough for a garage to house our transportation vehicles and ample space to accommodate our staff, programs, volunteer activities, provide parking, and expansion space to grow in the future. The cost for a new facility is $1.5 million, which includes cost for the land, building, moving expenses and furnishings to be located on Fields Boulevard, a site easily accessible from State Route 9 and Interstate 70. We are asking for your financial assistance to help us meet our capital campaign goal. To learn more about our efforts, please click here.
