How to Apply for HCCF Scholarships

New Changes for 2012

HCCF is gradually moving scholarship applications exclusively online and has one scholarship available online for 2012. Applicants must be graduating seniors of an accredited public, private or parochial school and live within the primary service area of Fountaintown Gas Co., Inc. In order to apply to the Fountaintown Gas Co., Inc. Scholarship, you must complete and submit your application online using the link below. The Fountaintown Gas Scholarship is also listed in the Common Scholarship Application Workbook. Even though applications from Hancock County high school students using the Common Scholarship Application will be accepted, we strongly encourage you to apply using the link below.

Fountaintown Gas Co., Inc. Scholarship Application

4-H Common Scholarship Applications are now due March 1, 2012. Use the same instructions on how to apply under "Common Scholarship Application" below.


Students Attending a Hancock County Public High School:

Applications are due to your school's guidance office by March 1, 2012. HCCF will not accept any applications from high school seniors at our office.

All Other Applicants:

Applications are due to the HCCF office by 4:00 p.m. on March 1, 2012. They may be hand delivered or sent via U.S. mail so that applications arrive by the deadline. Applications postmarked on or before the deadline that do not arrive at the HCCF office by March 1, 2012 will not be considered. Completed applications should be sent to:

Note: Applications for the Earl J. and Irene B. Brooks Scholarship and Florence M. Lacy Scholarship have a separate due date of April 13, 2012. These applications do not need an attached cover sheet, but all other instructions below apply.


Common Scholarship Application

Applicants should use the PDF Form of the Common Scholarship Application to fill out the final copy. The PDF forms and complete instructions on how to apply (pages 1-2 in the Workbook) are available in Common Scholarship Application Forms under the "Scholarships" tab in the left menu bar.

All applicants must also submit one high quality, color headshot (shoulders and up) - preferably a professional Senior Photo. Digital pictures are preferred and may be sent to avail@hccf.cc if they are received prior to the application deadline. If digital pictures are not available, applicants may include a photo printed on high-quality photo paper with the application packet.

All scholarship application packets must be received by the deadline in order to be considered. No exceptions will be made.


Scholarships Applications not included in the Common Scholarship Application

Scholarships that have a separate deadline or are selected by an outside group may have a separate application. Those applications may be found under the scholarship description in Other Scholarships located under the "Scholarships" tab in the left menu bar.

Most applications are required to be typed or filled out electronically using PDF forms. All supporting materials must be typed on 8.5 by 11 inch, standard letter-sized paper. Letters of Recommendation are required to be printed on school or organization letterhead and must be signed by the person writing the letter.
